Boxer Introduces Legislation to get Troops out of Iraq by Year's End

Legislation would still permit targeted missions in Iraq

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) today introduced a resolution to spur a political solution in Iraq and encourage the people of Iraq to provide for their own security through the redeployment of U.S. military forces by December 31, 2006

Boxer said, “I introduce this resolution with the hope and prayer that we will redeploy U.S. troops from Iraq and end this ill-fated war that has resulted in more than 20,000 U.S. troops killed or wounded.”
