"Chickenpox is a virus. Lots of people have had it, and probably don't think about it much once the initial illness has passed. A man in Seattle was hospitalized for 62 days, and while well enough to be released, still has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Not to mention a $1.1 million medical bill.

Then there is MIS-C. Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children is a condition where different body parts can become inflamed, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, or gastrointestinal organs. Children with MIS-C may have a fever and various symptoms, including abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, neck pain, rash, bloodshot eyes, or feeling extra tired. While rare, it has caused deaths.

This disease has not been around for years. It has basically been 6 months. No one knows yet the long-term health effects, or how it may present itself years down the road for people who have been exposed. We literally *do not know* what we do not know.

For those in our society who suggest that people being cautious are cowards, for people who refuse to take even the simplest of precautions to protect themselves and those around them, I want to ask, without hyperbole and in all sincerity: How dare you?

How dare you risk the lives of others so cavalierly. How dare you decide for others that they should welcome exposure as "getting it over with", when literally no one knows who will be the lucky "mild symptoms" case, and who may fall ill and die. Because while we know that some people are more susceptible to suffering a more serious case, we also know that 20 and 30-year-olds have died, marathon runners and fitness nuts have died, children and infants have died.

How dare you behave as though you know more than medical experts, when those same experts acknowledge that there is so much we don't yet know, but with what we DO know, are smart enough to be scared of how easily this is spread, and recommend baseline precautions such as:

Frequent hand-washing

Physical distancing

Reduced social/public contact or interaction

Mask wearing

Covering your cough or sneeze

Avoiding touching your face

Sanitizing frequently touched surfaces

The more actions we can all take to mitigate our risk of exposure, the better off we all are, in my opinion. Not only does it flatten the curve and allow health care providers to maintain levels of service that aren't immediately and catastrophically overwhelmed; it also reduces unnecessary suffering and deaths, and buys time for the scientific community to study the virus in order to come to a more full understanding of the breadth of its impacts in both the short and long term.

I reject the notion that it's "just a virus" and we'll all get it eventually. What a careless, lazy, heartless stance."

President-elect Donald Trump - Where Do We Go From Here?

Step 1 – Admit that we lost.
President-elect Donald Trump will be our leader for the next four years. Yes, he’s our president.

Step 2 – Admit why we lost.
Many of us feel like outsiders in our own country right now. Perhaps we can empathize with all those that felt like this for the past few years. The truth is that many have felt disenfranchised by the Democratic party. While some of us had one priority in mind – defeat Donald trump, a majority of us had other priorities. We didn’t lose this election because half of America are racist, sexist, homophobic bigots who can’t have a female president. Over half of the country did vote for her, in fact. The reasons we lost this election are more complicated than that.

We lost this election when the Democratic National Convention and major media outlets like CNN worked secretly with a campaign, giving that campaign advanced knowledge of questions that would be asked at debates and consorted with that campaign to produce favorable stories in the media for that campaign and negative stories for the opposing campaign.

We lost this election when blue collar workers across America expressed their frustration with politics, as usual, the status quo, the political elite, and income inequality and the Democratic party proceeded to tip the scales for a candidate who represented all those things.

We lost the election when the candidate the DNC chose for us was polling with the second lowest favorable ratings in the history of polling, when she consistently showed weakness in the electoral college against every single Republican opponent, and they installed her anyways.

We lost when the candidate the DNC selected failed to provide reasons to vote FOR her and simply provided reasons to vote against her opponent.

We lost this election when the DNC chose the less electable candidate to represent the Democratic party.

Step 3 – Take Action
The Democratic Party has failed us. The results of this election, ultimately, lie squarely on the shoulders of the Democratic party establishment. It is of utmost importance that the party elite will relinquish the reigns. It is time for the Sanders/Warren Democrats – the millennials and the socialists, the future of our nation, to take control of the direction of the party.

In 2008, after the election of President Obama, the Republican party began to be seized by a people-powered movement called the Tea Party. In 2016, the Democrats should see the very same type of reaction from their constituency. A rebuke of the party establishment and a seizing of control by the voters, rather than the party elite, should take place.

Socialist, populist, progressives all across America need to take up service to their country and run for election to local, state, and federal offices. This is of dire importance to securing our future.

Finally: All Democrats in Congress should meet President Trump and the Republican held House and Senate with the very same opposition that President Obama and the Democrats met with. It is very important that we extend this message to our representatives: We do not want you to work with the President. We do not want you to work across the aisle. We want progressive legislation or nothing. When one party refuses to play by the rules, we are left with no choice but to do the same. We can not get progressive legislation through by trying to play nice. We must learn from the Republican precedent and meet obstruction with obstruction.

Before last night I had felt disillusioned with the Democratic Party. I felt betrayed when I saw the DNC tip the scales of the election and then saw what I already knew to be true, validated through the Wikileaks email hacks. I was entirely prepared to leave politics behind.

But seeing a misogynistic, racist, bigot rise to the most powerful station on Earth has moved me. Knowing that my daughters will have to grow up STILL without having known a female leader of the free world breaks my heart.

My friend told me today that when she woke her daughter up for school, her daughter asked her “Mommy, are we going to be deported?”

My sister and her wife watched the election results with fear and anticipation, as they wondered if what became an increasingly likely President Trump would install a Supreme Court Justice that would repeal marriage equality.

On campus, I saw two black women embrace each other in front of me, one in tears, as they asked each other where they go from here.

The results of yesterday’s election affect each and every one of us deeply and profoundly – whether we know it yet or not. And I have never been more resolved to work my ass off to elect PROGRESSIVE, honest, liberal, Democrats to local, state, and federal offices. 2018 starts today. Are you in?

Is Bernie Sanders A Sellout?

Every politician is a "sellout" depending on your terms. Considering they have to cater to a wide swath of constituents who all have varying needs required of their elected officials.

Since it was never about Bernie Sanders, then how can he be a sellout?
He was simply a masthead, not the ship.

This is and ought to be about the movement, which without Bernie would not be so prevalent. Bernie didn't die or leave the planet on a spaceship. If you believed in Bernie's message it was because of his tireless work for forty+ years which he is still fighting, within the system, to change the system; a system he was fighting to change before he became the progressive savior.

So before anyone crucifies him as a sellout, remember there is still time to save our nations 'soul' without a bloody sacrifice of a moral, if not perfect man.

THE DAY ITSELF – EVIDENCE OF COMPLICITY

1) AWOL Chain of Command
a. It is well documented that the officials topping the chain of command for response to a domestic attack –George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Myers, Montague Winfield, Ralph Eberhart – all found reason to do something else during the actual attacks, other than assuming their duties as decision-makers.
b. Who was actually in charge? Dick Cheney, Richard Clarke, Norman Mineta and the 9/11 Commission directly conflict in their accounts of top-level response to the unfolding events, such that several (or all) of them must be lying.

2) Air Defense Failures
a. The US air defense system failed to follow standard procedures for responding to diverted passenger flights.
b. Timelines: The various responsible agencies – NORAD, FAA, Pentagon, USAF, as well as the 9/11 Commission – gave radically different explanations for the failure (in some cases upheld for years), such that several officials must have lied; but none were held accountable.
c. Was there an air defense stand down?

3) Pentagon Strike
How was it possible the Pentagon was hit 1 hour and 20 minutes after the attacks began? Why was there no response from Andrews Air Force Base, just 10 miles away and home to Air National Guard units charged with defending the skies above the nation’s capital? How did Hani Hanjour, a man who failed as a Cessna pilot on his first flight in a Boeing, execute a difficult aerobatic maneuver to strike the Pentagon? Why did the attack strike the just-renovated side, which was largely empty and opposite from the high command?

4) Wargames
a. US military and other authorities planned or actually rehearsed defensive response to all elements of the 9/11 scenario during the year prior to the attack – including multiple hijackings, suicide crash bombings, and a strike on the Pentagon.
b. The multiple military war games planned long in advance and held on the morning of September 11th included scenarios of a domestic air crisis, a plane crashing into a government building, and a large-scale bio-terrorism emergency in New York. If this was only an incredible series of coincidences, why did the official investigations avoid the issue? There is evidence that the war games created confusion as to whether the unfolding events were “real world or exercise.” Did war games serve as the cover for air defense sabotage, and/or the execution of an “inside job”?

5) Flight 93
Did the Shanksville crash occur at 10:06 (according to a seismic report) or 10:03 (according to the 9/11 Commission)? Does the Commission wish to hide what happened in the last three minutes of the flight, and if so, why? Was Flight 93 shot down, as indicated by the scattering of debris over a trail of several miles?

Talking White Privilege on Facebook Part: 1

"I don't even pay attention to what color they are."

Yes, you do; your brain does that for you. Flight or fight begins with cultural matching. We are tribal by nature. This isn't a crime, just a residual of natural selection. So to repeat; this isn't racial bias, we are all the same race.

"...but there is no difference between my American culture and the culture of another American who grew up near me."

That is the near absolute definition of white privilege.
That another culture has the same advantages I do so I don't have to think about it. "It just takes care of itself."

"Trying to say that blacks and whites have different cultures because...based on skin color"

You do not read what I write or filter it through your perceptions. We do have different cultures. Of course we do. On a graph we could see black and white culture merging in some aspects. But you wouldn't know what to do if you lived with a black urban family for a month. They are of the same race but of different ethnic backgrounds (depending of variables of geography, income, traditions etc.)

And many are segregated.

Income being the prime factor. Like I asked before, white couple, black couple, statistically who gets the bank loan first? Who has a higher percentage of getting a mortgage on their house, a primary way Americans send their kids to college.

Keep in mind I am 50yrs old. I was around on the eighties, the few black families in Tracy California, had to go to higher lengths to receive a loan. Even so far as bringing in a white friend to cosign. I remember the conversation my dad had about with mom, the first time I heard a conversation about the difficulties of being black in America.

So how many African-Americans went to college when I was college age. Where are they now? When they were less than ten percent of the population in the eighties, how many black men went to college and became captains of industry?

How many black men do you see on Forbes lists compared to whites? How many in congress? Judges, cops, lawyers, doctors? The news casts, even on Fox of all places has been blacker in the last decade than I EVER watched on TV growing up.

I don't know how old you are but life experience makes a difference. I have seen the changes for half a century.

It's waaaaay better but keep in mind that the last whites only drinking fountain was taken down the month I was born. While that may seem like ancient history to you, their father told them about racism (cultural-ism).
My father was a Vietnam vet. Vietnam was his drinking fountain for the government.
Do you think I was raised to trust the government?

These may seem like heady days for you in this era, and it should, we've all done a lot of work to get here.
But there is still work to do.

It begins with understanding history and our real place in it.

The U.S. Government Cannot Manage A Population This Size

We are not united in anything.

The function of our government doesn't work with a population of this size. It worked when we were more on the level of Germany's current population size, give or take 10-20 million, but I won't cling to old ideals that don't work anymore.

I don't believe in being polite about change. If I actually had a voice, I would have students stop all public university administration buildings from being able to function until something was done about the cost of school, regardless of what the short term costs are. There are certain things I don't believe in compromise for and it doesn't help that it is borderline split 50/50 these days with liberals and conservatives. Every single decision is countered.

That is the biggest difference between us and the more successful smaller nations. We are not united in anything. We clash at a national level, at a state level, county level, city level, religious level, etc. Even when people do agree, their priorities are different. One wants top of the line foreign policy in a president while another wants things fixed at home first.

"I simply will not support the government until I am personally benefiting from my own tax investment."

I refuse to support paying for such a large prison population where over half are stupid victim-less crime charges, too large of a chunk dedicated to an unnecessarily large military and policing the world, bailouts for rich corrupt morons simply because they are "job creators" for inefficient SHIT jobs that do not keep up with inflation and have pathetic infomercials attached to their training videos about how they "care for their employees" (utter bullshit), lack of modern public transportation, and lack of a maintained infrastructure.

The U.S. has 5 things going for it, national parks, Hollywood, diversity (though I do have some Nationalist views towards preserving independent cultures while simultaneously pushing inclusiveness), road trips (huge and spread out, every state is different), and party culture. I would say food, but fast food has sort of ruined much of it, though if you subtract our unhealthy modern trends, we do have some great choices in all types of food categories.

As for politics, the U.S. is a giant cluster fuck, PERIOD! Until there is more agreement, nothing substantial will be accomplished. Right now we just have morons that vote to make history based on gender/ethnicity, vote a party simply because family has in the past, vote because of religion, etc. Such a huge number of voters do not make personal uninfluenced decisions.

That is what I am doing, regardless of what it hurts because it is what I want. It's MY vote, not yours, not the dumb dominant Democratic or Republican parties, or anyone else. I don't simply vote for better or worse, I vote for what I want and that is how it will always be regardless of media, relatives, friends, and/or the evils of opposing candidates that rival the others in popularity. Complain about it all you want, change only happens when multiple agree. You have already decided that that can't happen and fall in line with what is presented to you.

"Let me ask you something, if you truly wanted to protest would you go to the government designated area at the designated time with designated rules? That isn't a protest. That peaceful shit that doesn't hinder what is being targeted accomplishes nothing." 

At the same time, I do not support violent protests like select BLM riots in recent years that targeted civilian property/business unrelated to any law enforcement issues that they had. If a large enough proportion doesn't believe in something and it isn't changing, then you shut that shit down by occupying it in numbers until they have to listen.

That is hard to do here because we are so giant and spread out now. Hence the need for political unity, but as long as we have this near 50/50 conservative/liberal bullshit, nothing will become better for the general population. It will continue to benefit preexisting networked success stories, inherited wealth, etc, similar to peasants and nobles from bygone areas. Screw that.

Union dues, hah funny! My mother and daughter are teachers. Income and taxes pay for education, and teachers spend about 33% of their income on average paying for supplies in their classrooms. Including their time far beyond class hours.
Without a union, teachers would be slaves.

-What does the lack of education do to a culture?

White Nationalist -"It creates slaves, which is precisely what LBJ wished when he cemented most of the Democrat programs in place from previous Democrat presidents. Unlike prior generations, these slaves are forced to farm votes. When one decided to go Republican, they are demonized as being racist and called vile and racist names by the Democrat-voting population."

So it's the black guys fault. 'It's inherent in their race.' 'They brought this on themselves.'
This has nothing to do the fact that African-Americans are disproportionately receiving more convictions for the same crimes compared to whites.

Nothing to do with the last 'whites only' drinking fountain wasn't removed until 1965, the year I was born.
That a black man my age has a grandfather who still remembers getting hit with a hose for wanting to have lunch in whites only cafeterias.
Only one generation ago.

Let me put it to you this way; my father is a Vietnam vet. Do you think he talks about war and nationalism the same way a world war II vet does?
My father was drafted, conscripted into a war that was a proven false flag operation. Men were ordered into jungles with body count requirements to satisfy the Pentagon bureaucrats. While generals and upper echelon ate steak in air conditioned buildings.

Do you think I was raised to trust the government?
Do you think my father told me "just comply and you won't get hurt"?

Think about the comparison. Would you be a black man in America today? It's certainly better than it was, but their grandfathers still remember the war, on them.

White Nationalist -"Race relations are currently lower than they were prior to the Watts Riots." 

How do you justify that?
Race relations with the state or between people of color, or blacks and whites?
My generation and beyond do not view people of color as our fathers did. Interracial marriages are not illegal or frowned upon; with the exception of the people at the republican national convention.

-So why are people of color seemingly crammed into small areas of big cities?

White Nationalist -"Housing and Urban Development (HUD) pays the rents of the people in those areas with government stipends through the welfare program."

Remember how African-Americans lived when those policies were put in place in September 9, 1965.
Kept to their own neighborhoods, only employed in labor related, blue color jobs.
Don't get me wrong, the black culture has work to do climbing out this welfare state.
But if you don't want them 'mingling' in your culture, it's going to cost you.

-Why are they disproportionately poor?

White Nationalist -"They are either unwilling to find good employment, thus removing their government assistance, or are unable to find good employment due to the distance required to travel to the areas of the employment."

Let's not forget the republican economic crash in 2008: (CNNMoney.com) -- "The hemorrhaging of American jobs accelerated at a record pace at the end of 2008, bringing the year's total job losses to 2.6 million or the highest level in more than six decades...The total number of unemployed Americans rose by 632,000 to 11.1 million."

So a culture 'inherently' hired less for the same jobs as whites now finds themselves with even fewer job opportunities than in the last six decades. It is fascinating that if President Obama had caused the economic global devastation as the Bush/Cheney administration, you would be calling for his head. Yet the president hasn't but you still do.

This actually falls under the Bush/Cheney presidency and NeoCon polices.

Do Churches Make Nations Great?

Churches are used to move the masses to wars without end; to disenfranchise groups with glorified hate. To enrich pastors like Ken Ham who spend millions building monuments to

allegorical stories like Noah's flood. 

Or mega churches and million dollar incomes for preachers like Joel Osteen, or Creflo Dollar. While children starve in America.

The church doesn't have anything man does not already possess. The silver and golden rules were already in use thousands of years before the story of Jesus took place. Asia did not have to be told by god to stop blood sacrifices, with another blood sacrifice, they just figured it out.

It's always a trap to say if we turn to this form of heuristic, if we teach people to fear an unrealistic for of eternal torture they will mend their ways. If this form of control really functioned the way the church has claimed it would for thousands of years, we wouldn't be in this state.

What state are we in? 

While it seems that violence is an everyday occurrence, it is. It has always been. When a nation, or the world at large begins to progress, when our wants and needs are easier to meet, we become complacent. Creatures of habit, we want out world to run along the 'freeway' without engine trouble.

According to NATO, CDC and the World Health Organization, violence has been on a steady decline since the nineties. Peaking when Bush senior left office and declining a year after Bill Clinton took office.

At the same time, church attendance has been dropping steadily.

Writing Under the Hot Nigerian Sun

We write what we know. African fiction is reality-based and for good reasons. Outside a simple hut, dirt roads lead to work, to the water well, to the Savanna. Movie theaters, libraries, schools, places that spark imagination beyond just survival are far and few between. African legends and lessons are passed from family to family in a story-based culture. These are the commonalities of African writing, in poetry, fiction, theater and folk tales. Many published works from these authors are culture-based centering on the household, politics and choices of morality. This is the world within the reach of 1900’s African writer, raised in riches or poverty.

My research led me to Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o, writing under the name James Ngugi, a Kenyan writer of fiction and historical novels. I also found a Somali American educator named Sofia Samater. She has received multiple awards for her novel A Stranger in Olandria. Flora Nwapa, another Nigerian writer known for novels and short stories is acknowledged as the first African woman novelist. Her first novel Efuru was published in 1966, receiving acclaim and international recognition.

I became focused on Cyprian Ekwensi, a Nigerian fiction author. He was hailed as one of the most prolific writers of Nigeria from 1947 through 1991. His books of fiction Burning Grass and Beautiful Feathers, have received both critical review and literary awards. Fiction is a tool for those without voice to, not so subtly, hide meaning and code of the common tongue in the text of seemingly harmless fantasy. This leaves the interpretation open to government scrutiny. It is a protest of reading and whispers.

“However famous a man is outside, if he is not respected inside his own home, he is like a bird with beautiful feathers, wonderful on the outside but ordinary within.” Ekwensi, Beautiful Feathers(36)

This Igbo proverb applies to Wilson Iyari, the hero of Ekwensi’s novel. In the novel, Ekwensi writes about a non-violent demonstration to promote African solidarity. Wilson is the owner of the Independence Pharmacy. 

Coinciding with Nigerian Independence Day, this simple metaphor is teetering on literary insurrection. For it is a dangerous time in Nigeria to be outspoken against your government.

Cyprian Ekwensi has a unique style of writing; his at times excessive use of commas is to me a measure and beat to the reading. To think like an African is to read like an African. I am not African. 

At points in his story where my American eye wants to continue a thought or action from a protagonist, breaks and beats force me to refocus my perspective. I have to teach myself to let the author tell the story. And an African story is in the telling, not just the reading. Passing along a thought or an emotion has more importance than remembering the words used. 

When Ekwensi flowers his pros with eloquent words, those words seem forced, inserted rather than written from the heart. But this is a versatile author. Ekwensi has published novels and short stories, written plays for radio, scripts for television and the big screen. His writings focus on love, infatuation, infidelity, war, adventure, fantasy, politics, childhood, marriage, death, and ritual sacrifice. Ekwensi lived through the Apartheid in Nigeria. Many of his works were not translated into English until decades after being published in his native language.

While his land may be a continent away from us, his themes of love, hate, violence, childhood, death are common throughout the world. His protagonists are business owners, servants, farmers, working everyday men and women searching for a voice in the blazing Nigerian sun. I am pleased to have gotten to know Cyprian Ekwensi, through critical reviews, biographies and small portions of his work I was able to read.

Cyprian will be added to my library and shared with readers looking for a taste of African writing.

Cyprian Ekwensi was born on September 26, 1921 in Minna, Nigeria. He died November 04, 2007 but not before leaving a lasting and admired litany of written works, respected and reviewed for decades.

The NRA Failure to Liberty

It is always the cry of the gun enthusiast that anyone who argues for gun control measures is a lefty, unread on the Constitution, or unaware of reality. Why is that?
Most memes from the left have constitutional comparatives as to the language of the amendment, so they have read through it.

I am a gun owner who's been shooting since he was ten. And the second amendment was meant to form state run militia, who are -well regulated-, to stop tyranny.
Gun owners are not well regulated, they have no dependable militia, though they pretend to. The government has more tanks, drones, grenades, armor and ammo than gun owners will ever dream of. NRA members are not some stop gap to a tyrannical government. That's a John Wayne fantasy without reality.
When the amendment was written, there was still a chance to defend your liberty but that time has passed, long ago.

No one is going to take away the second amendment. That is a message from the politics of fear. Funded and supported by the NRA and right wing news outlets. These gun advocates have brought America to the brink of becoming a third world war zone. No one needs a thirty round magazine to hunt dear or protect your home. Because of the NRA, weapons of mass killing are so readily available, someone on the no fly list, proven to be an ISIS sympathizer, can buy a rifle in one day.

We do have a right to protect ourselves but we are not a military nation and do not need military style weapons to stop fear.

The politics of fear is the real tyranny.

Voting for the lesser two evils is tyranny. Voter ID laws are tyranny.

Real tyranny doesn't come in the form of a jack booted thug carrying an M-16. 

Look at the lines for voting. Look at the 2 million votes not counted in California during the last primary. Unregulated banking. Endless wars. Orange alerts. Militarized police force.

You cannot shoot your way out of this tyranny. American unity is the only shield against the further demise of our great nation.

But we bicker and spit hate over the internet with digital malice. While the 1%, the bankers, the military industrial complex, politicians, infect the entire world with fear.

Emphasizing the “humiliation and disgrace” Islam has suffered at the hands of infidels and their compliant Middle East rulers for nearly a century, bin Laden has long complained that the United States “wants to occupy our countries, steal our resources, impose on us agents to rule us.” Outraged by the presence of American troops desecrating Islam’s two holiest places: Mecca and Medina, in the 1990s bin Laden demanded that the United States leave the Persian Gulf, stop all sanctions against the Iraqi people and stop using Israel to oppress Palestinians - or else, “American civilians will no more be spared than military targets.”

How much advance warning did the White House have?

In the weeks leading up to Sept. 11, dozens of urgent, detailed warnings of attacks involving hijacked airliners and US landmarks came from German, French, Russian and Israeli intelligence, an Arab newspaper, several prisoners and members of New York’s Muslim communities.

Could US intelligence agencies have stopped 911?

In 1995, Filipino authorities alerted the FBI that Middle Eastern pilots were training at American flight schools to hijack a commercial jet and crash it into federal buildings. In July 2001, a “Phoenix memo” sent by FBI anti-terror Agent Kenneth Williams alerted his Washington superiors 2001 that eight bin Laden followers were training at an Arizona flight school. A fatwa edict commanded them to "Bring down their [USA] airliners.” In August, Moussaoui was arrested at a Minnesota flight school while learning to fly heavy aircraft.

Despite known links to al Qaeda and Boeing flight manuals in his car, Attorney General John Ashcroft blocked further investigations of Moussaoui. Another FBI informant lived with two of the hijackers. And FBI translator Sibel Edmonds says the FBI had “several specific information” on the coming Trade Tower attacks as early as April 2001. The National Security Agency says it routinely intercepted phone calls between bin Laden and his operatives in the United State. “Hundreds” of calls from ringleader Atta were also intercepted and traced.

What happened to US air defenses on Sept. 11?

According to an official Pentagon news release, US interceptors launched late from distant bases flew at a fraction of their top speeds. Two jets airborne near Manhattan could have intercepted both WTC-bound airliners, but were not notified of the attacks. Two armed “ready alert” jets routinely launched to intercept stray airliners from Andrews Air Force base just 10 miles from the Pentagon were held on the ground until after the attacks. A nationwide air defense drill on 911 also saw US air defenders looking over the North Pole for nonexistent “Soviet” attackers.

Is the war in Iraq related to 911?

The secular Saddam Hussein was a bitter enemy of radical Islamists, including al Qaeda. No evidence has ever been found linking his regime to the Sept. 11 attacks. Ironically, the US invasion and occupation of Iraq has brought top al Qaeda personnel flooding into that country, while driving thousands of outraged Arab youths to join the terrorists’ ranks.

Will there be more terrorist attacks against the United States?

Top terrorists heard US General Tommy Franks warn the world that another murderous attack on US soil in the coming months could see the “suspension of the Constitution” and the “imposition of a military government” in Washington. Which means, they win. But Osama bin Laden says he is directing “modern educated youths” using al Qaeda computers to “hack” “cracks inside the Western financial system” – and crash the United States’ economy beyond repair.
